The Celebrity Chef Cooking School
Celebrity Chef Andy McCutcheon

Andy McCutcheon – Is a passionate food innovator who champions locally sourced seasonal produce.

Andy’s career began as a special forces operative in the Canadian military before he acquired a commercial pilot’s license and used that experience to become one of the worlds most recognisable celebrity bodyguards.

He has toured with Britney Spears, Tina Turner and the Rolling Stones and has worked with many other film music and sports icons alongside a number of world leaders.

In 2001 he moved to Australia and was a regular contributor to Sea Spray and Ocean Magazine before authoring two books published by New World Publishing in 2006.

In 2007 Andy pioneered the first new alcohol beverages category in 50 years as the founder of ‘The Hard Iced Tea Brewing Company.’ He created a low-carb, low calorie, sugar free, sparkling alcoholic tea beverage range using organically grown tea from Australia’s Daintree region.

In 2014 Andy joined Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts Group as their Director of Sales & Marketing. During his tenure he opened two new award winning restaurants, NEST in Brisbane and Malacca Café in Hong Kong. He championed a rooftop garden that provided the restaurants with an ongoing source of seasonal produce used in their ‘paddock to plate’ menu.

Additionally he worked with local apiarists, ‘Bee One Third’ and partnered with them to house two rooftop hives which created a unique honey from the local Roma Street Botanical Gardens that was sold to guests.

He created a pop-up street café on George Street in the Brisbane CBD crafted from a recycled shipping container, selling certified organic coffee and organic takeaway food served in bio-degradable containers.

In 2016 Andy founded ‘Wayfarer Tiny Homes Pty Ltd’ and his passion for sustainability has led him to develop a range of eco-friendly houses that were recently nominated in an international design award under the social impact category.

Today, the Wayfarer brand not only includes sustainable housing, but also a range of organic, lacto-fermented hot sauces, mustards, sauerkraut, Korean kimchi and other food condiments sourced from food he grows himself or sources locally.

The NEW ‘Celebrity Cooking School’ is an extension of his food passion and provides hotels, corporations, local businesses and private groups to be entertained while being educated in a fun-filled cooking school environment learning about seasonal produce, how to connect with the farmers who grow your food and how to prepare it into delicious, healthy and nutritious recipes.

Immerse yourself in the experience – enjoy a glass of wine – or two, sample some great food, hear a bit of celebrity gossip and walk away with some great information and wonderful memories.
